Christmas In September and October...

It was our last day in the village.

"Take my picture with all my friends grandma."

One of the hardest things for me in the village is seeing the kids tattered clothes. One day I mentioned to Sierra that it might be nice to make skirts for all the little girls in the village for Christmas. Sierra was delighted. For the entire 2 weeks she measured each and every girl, giving me their waist sizes and skirt lengths.
Consequently,
I have 18 skirts to get done before the end of October.
I'm just a little overwhelmed. Would you pray that I get them done...

I leave for Haiti in 36 days. I keep on thinking "I need to get a gift for...and for.... and ...."
Now I know I don't really have to but I sure want to. I feel your stress in this.

I can tell how excited you are getting.. one of the hardest parts of getting ready is deciding what to take what to leave etc. I have been writing a book probably will never get it published, but I put that idea in there..it is hard to know what to take. I did take some extra things for the translators who work with Erik. There is such need though it is hard to leave people out. I will pray for your wisdom as you prepare.
