Today I had a conversation that went something like this:

" So now what does your son do exactly?"
" Well, he takes The Bible, and he translates it into the language of the people he works with," I responded.

"Interesting, What language is that?" he asked.
"Nafe."
"Never heard of it."
"There are hundreds of different tongues on the islands, and this is just one of them," I explained.

This person is an unbeliever so his next response was:
"Why?"
"So the Ni Vanuatu can read Gods Words, Hear Gods Words, Be taught Gods Word in their own language."
"Makes sense, I guess," he responded.
"I am a Bible Teacher and it is such a blessing for me to have a son that loves God's Word as much as I do," I said.
"Hmmm."

How often as believers do we take God's Word for granted. Our Bible sits on the shelf from Sunday to Sunday. This is not what God had in mind for us.
In Matthew 4:4
"It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the Mouth of God."

Oswald Chambers put it this way:
" but to the soul born from above, the Bible is the universe of God's revealed will...The stupendous profundities of God's will, surging with  unfathomable mysteries, come down to the shores of our common life, not in emotions and fires, nor in aspirations and vows, agonies and visions, but in a way so simple that wayfaring men, though fools, cannot make a mistake, that is, in words....
As soon as any soul is born from above, the Bible becomes to him the universe of revelation facts, just as the natural world is the universe of common=sense facts...God's Spirit speaks an understanding of His Word never known before....God's sayings are sealed to every soul until they are opened by the indwelling Spirit of God."

Just as the Psalmst we can rejoice and say...
Psalm 119:103-104
"How sweet are thy words to my taste!
Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
From Thy precepts I get understanding,"

That's what I love, The Bible has all we need for understanding and spiritual growth.
My prayer for the Ni Vanuatu today is that they can say,
Lord, We found Your words, and we ate them,
And Your Words became for us a joy and the delight of our hearts;
Because we are called by thy name."
Jeremiah 15:16

Thank You Lord for the work that you are accomplishing with my childrens help.
Bless them today, Bless them and keep them....
Let Your face shine on them, and give them your peace as they continue to work with Your Word.
