With Erik and Michele in NZ, and us so frantic for information those first few days I became fully aware of the time difference. I got phone calls and e-mails around 1 A.M. our time. Their night is our day and their days are our nights. I found myself waking at 1 and checking my e-mail for news. It made me think about God's timing. I find His timing is certainly not usually mine. Over the last few years He has been working with me to accept that His timing and His will are perfect. I'm learning to say much quicker, "Your will not mine, Lord."
In Luke 2:6-7
"While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." NAS Version
Finally after all those years of waiting in the fullness of time, in God's perfect timing the days were completed for her to give birth.
Makes me all excited, finally the long awaited Messiah would be born!!!
Hallelujah....
Erik and Michele don't realize it but this scripture in language is a gift to me. I want to share it with you.
I love to see it in written form. This is why they are in Vanuatu.
Luke 2:6-7 in Nafe:
v.6 Ncpxn irau krouarc ikxn, Meri rxneste ncpxn atukwatukw scvcnni mc txrcrchi ickunouihi irc.
v7 Rcrchi txni icrman, ncmritaik. Rcrchi, muvegi ia txnari, mcmri pen ia nxtctc kamchwmcni ncrimxru me irc. In ro iamxnhi irc tx ncri nc mc nimwc ncha ncrmama kamhcrcku pen mamnapri ikxn ruvckucr.
v6 when the two of them were staying there, Meri arrived at her straight time to give birth.
v7 She gave birth to her child a son, her firstborn, she gave birth to him, wrapped him in cloth, and put him in a boxed thing animals are fed in it. She did like this because that house people pay to sleep in it was full.
Doesn't it just bless you to see it in written form? It does this old mom.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
